In this article, we will go into detail on how you manage tower coverages on your map within CloudRF, beginning with your Primary Cursor and ending with your Calculation Archive.
- Primary Cursor
- Adding a Calculation
- Removing a Calculation
- Clear All
- Retrieval from Calculation Archive
Primary Cursor
Your Primary Cursor is the yellow radiation icon. Single clicking anywhere on the map will relocate the cursor (and change the co-ordinates in your Transmitter Panel):
If you single click, and you can't see your Primary Cursor appear, it may have been toggled off. You can turn it back on through the Transmitter Panel.
You can only have one primary cursor visible on the map at a time.
Adding a Calculation
Adding a calculation can be very simple or very complex depending on your application. We cover this topic in detail elsewhere in our help center.
Place the Primary Cursor where you'd like the transmitter to be [1], make any changes in the calculation panels [2], then click on Calculate [3]:
Your calculation will begin. It may take several moments to complete depending on its size and resolution. When it is done, it will be automatically shown on the map [1], added to your Terrain/Layer selector list [2], and added to your Calculation Archive [3]:
Removing a Calculation
You can temporarily remove or hide a calculation from your map by hovering over the terrain selector in the top right corner [1], and unchecking the mark next to the calculation you want to hide [2]. The map will immediately update base on your actions. Later, the calculation can be easily shown again by adding the check-mark:
If you want to permanently remove or delete a calculation/tower from your account, you need to open the Calculation Archive [1], select the sites you wish to delete [2], and click on the trash can icon [3]. You'll see a confirmation dialogue box appear for each selection [4]. Be warned, this action cannot be undone:
Clear All
The Clear All feature will remove all calculations/towers/coverage areas from the map and from the Terrain/Layer selector in the top right corner. But the Clear All button does not remove any sites from your calculation archive:
There is no confirmation for this button. If you accidentally clicked on the Clear All button and want to retrieve your most recent sites, simply open your Calculation Archive and select the most recent sites that were removed. When you first open your Calculation Archive, the sites are sorted in chronological order from newest to oldest. Continue reading the next section for more details.
Retrieval from Calculation Archive
When you refresh your web page, your map will be cleared from all calculations.
To restore tower layers from your archive, click on the Calculation Archive button at the bottom of the screen [1], then select the appropriate sites to restore [2]. You can either bring the towers back with their coverage shown [3] or without their coverage shown [4]. Either way, your sites will also be loaded back into the top right Terrain/Layer selector [5]. You can also double click the site name in the archive list to quickly restore a single calculation:
